Depot Supervisor

About the role

The Depot Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily depot and onsite operations, ensuring fuel receipt, storage, distribution, loading and off‑loading are performed safely and in line with HSSEQ policies. The role supports the Depot Manager and guarantees high‑standard housekeeping and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily tank dipping, density and temperature measurements and maintain real‑time stock visibility.
• Supervise fuel loading, transfer, unloading and ensure accuracy, safety and product quality.
• Monitor HSSE compliance across all depot activities, including handling, transport and delivery.
• Authorize critical operations, perform tank sampling and oversee preventive maintenance of pumps and tanks.
• Maintain depot records, manage consumables, seals and spare parts, and produce timely operational reports.
• Supervise and evaluate depot staff and contractors, conducting daily compliance checks.
• Ensure proper housekeeping of yard, gantry, office, mess room and pump room.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Transport Logistics, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in depot operations, road transport or plant engineering.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities in an operational environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with staff, contractors and management.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet operational deadlines and enforce a safety‑first culture.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with operational management systems and KPI monitoring.
• Valid driver’s licence.
