Gender Equality & Social Inclusion Specialist

About the role

NTU International is looking for a Non‑Key Expert – Gender Equality & Social Inclusion Specialist to embed gender‑responsive and inclusive approaches throughout the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme. The role ensures that all activities promote equitable participation and access to the benefits of space cooperation.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate gender equality and social inclusion considerations into programme design, implementation and monitoring, guaranteeing inclusive participation and gender‑responsive outcomes.
• Develop and apply gender‑responsive tools such as gender analysis, sex‑disaggregated indicators, inclusive stakeholder engagement, training modules and communication strategies for donor‑funded initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in gender studies, social sciences, development studies or a related field.
• Minimum eight years of professional experience in gender equality, social inclusion or inclusive development within international cooperation.
• At least four years of experience designing and applying gender‑responsive approaches in donor‑funded programmes.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is an asset.
• Familiarity with EU external‑action gender policy and experience working in Africa are desirable.
