Hank Dye Technician – Dyehouse (Madagascar)

About the role

The Dyehouse at Floreal Group is looking for a motivated Hank Dye Technician to ensure dyed yarn hanks are prepared, inspected and delivered to the knitting floor. You will work closely with the Dyehouse Manager and Head of Manufacturing to keep production flowing smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and verify dyed yarn hanks against production orders.
• Inspect yarn for colour consistency, shade variation, staining, knots and other defects.
• Rewind or cone‑wind hank‑dyed yarn for knitting operations as required.
• Maintain accurate yarn identification, lot segregation and traceability.
• Feed the correct yarn lots to knitting machines according to the production plan.
• Monitor yarn quality during knitting to prevent breaks and fabric defects.
• Coordinate with the Dyeing Department on shade approvals and quality issues.
• Maintain yarn inventory records and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Record production data, yarn consumption and quality observations.

Required profile

• Secondary School Certificate or equivalent (preferred).
• Certificate or training in Textile Technology is an advantage.
• Experience in knitting or dyeing operations is preferred.
• Ability to follow SOPs, quality standards and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

• Knowledge of cotton, synthetic and polyester yarns.
