Head of Sales – Madagascar

About the role

Vipar Auto Fzco is seeking a dynamic Head of Sales to lead its Bajaj Auto two‑ and three‑wheelers business in Madagascar. Based in Antananarivo, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market share, and ensuring the brand becomes a market leader.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies for the Madagascar market.
• Set sales targets, monitor performance, and adjust tactics to achieve revenue goals.
• Lead, coach, and mentor a diverse sales team to deliver results.
• Manage key dealer relationships and ensure alignment with marketing objectives.
• Analyse market trends, identify new business opportunities, and coordinate with government organisations.
• Establish efficient sales processes and support pricing and promotional decisions.

Required profile

• Proven sales and sales‑management track record in Madagascar, meeting or exceeding targets.
• Fluency in Malagasy and French.
• Experience in account management with long‑term customer, distributor, and partner relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop sales teams.
• Strong analytical skills for market assessment, forecasting, and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Extensive experience in the automotive or consumer durable goods sector; exposure to African markets, especially Madagascar, is an advantage.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
