Organic Certification Specialist – Manage Certifications for Vanilla Supply Chain

About the role

Videeko Vanilla is looking for an Organic Certification Specialist to lead the administration of organic certifications across its vanilla supply chain, from farmer records to export documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage certification applications, renewals, organic system plans and supporting documentation.
• Maintain a central certification register with scope, status, renewal dates, audit schedules and costs.
• Coordinate external audits and internal compliance reviews, ensuring readiness of teams, facilities and records.
• Track audit findings, corrective actions and collect evidence until closure.
• Work with cooperative Internal Control System teams to keep farmer registrations, farm records and inspection reports up to date.
• Verify product traceability and reconcile purchasing, production, inventory and sales records.
• Monitor organic segregation, storage, cleaning practices, processing records and approved inputs.
• Coordinate organic transaction certificates and export documentation with relevant bodies.
• Review product labels and certification claims for compliance.
• Train farmers, cooperative staff and company employees on organic practices and documentation.

Required profile

• Practical experience managing organic certification in agriculture, food processing or export.
• Working knowledge of EU Organic and USDA National Organic Program requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Food Science, Environmental Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, project management and communication skills.
• Professional communication skills in French and Malagasy; English is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and travel to farms, cooperatives and facilities.
