Part‑time Instructor – International Relations & Strategic Studies

About the role

The International Institute for Strategic Research (IISR) seeks a part‑time Instructor to deliver high‑quality training aligned with its strategic research and global cooperation agenda. This hybrid position combines on‑site teaching in Abu Dhabi with remote preparation and online delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lesson plans, workshops, and courses on international relations, strategic studies, or public policy.
• Facilitate interactive classroom and virtual sessions, encouraging learner engagement.
• Assess participant progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain records.
• Collaborate with IISR staff to refine curricula and integrate research insights.
• Support institute events such as webinars, schools, and conferences.

Required profile

• Strong instructional and facilitation abilities with clear English communication.
• Experience designing and delivering trainings, workshops, or academic courses, preferably in related fields.
• Academic background at least at Master’s level in social sciences, international studies, education, or a related discipline.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills to handle part‑time duties alongside event schedules.
• Cultural awareness and ability to work inclusively with diverse participants.
• Prior experience in an international or research‑oriented institution in Abu Dhabi or the region is a plus.
