Freelance Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support (Antananarivo)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer to provide break‑and‑fix services for enterprise infrastructure in Antananarivo. This freelance, on‑call position requires diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, virtualization and network incidents while delivering professional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver onsite and remote break‑and‑fix support for networking and infrastructure issues.
• Deploy, configure and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• Perform system upgrades, patching and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, virtualization and network problems.
• Resolve network connectivity issues involving TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP and routing.
• Implement and support backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Respond to critical incidents and service requests within agreed response times.
• Collaborate with global and regional teams on infrastructure and cloud projects.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, incident reports and service records.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking or IT support engineering.
• Valid CCNA certification and at least 90 % score on the induction assessment.
• Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Ability to work independently in customer‑facing environments with a professional demeanor.

Required skills

• Nutanix ecosystem (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• VMware and/or Hyper‑V environments.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching.
• Backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Scripting with PowerShell and/or Python.
