Reservations Specialist

About the role

The Reservations Specialist works full‑time on‑site in Antananarivo, handling reservation requests and managing itineraries for a Madagascar‑based DMC and MICE agency. The role ensures seamless booking of accommodations, transportation and guided experiences while providing exceptional customer service before and after travel.

Key responsibilities

• Process reservation requests, prepare and update itineraries, and manage bookings for accommodations, transport and tours.
• Communicate daily with clients, partners and suppliers to confirm availability, negotiate rates and verify reservation details.
• Maintain accurate reservation records, support the sales team with quotations and proposals, and resolve booking issues promptly.
• Coordinate with operations teams to ensure a smooth travel experience and assist in training colleagues on reservation procedures and systems.

Required profile

• Strong reservation and booking management experience, preferably in a DMC or tour operator environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English, French and Malagasy.
• Customer‑service oriented with a sales mindset, able to prepare quotations and support upselling.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple bookings and deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with travel reservation or management systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience using CRM tools.
