Therapy Course Designer / Instructional Designer

About the role

Onja trains underprivileged youth into software developers through a two-and-a-half-year programme, and is looking for a Therapy Course Designer / Instructional Designer in Toamasina. The person breaks down modules into small, structured lessons so students can grasp the concepts easily, creates visuals, edits videos and produces learning materials that support the main course. Hiring is based on skills, attitude and cultural fit rather than specific qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Design visuals, video lessons and learning materials
• Translate therapist-authored content into structured module specifications, learning outcomes, session plans and scaffolding
• Design assessment instruments and rubrics aligned with the assessment and progression framework, alongside the Expert
• Co-design learning modules
• Apply recognised instructional design methods and pedagogy
• Respond to feedback from Clinical Therapists and redesign materials accordingly

Required profile

• Team player who enjoys collaborative work
• Creative and willing to learn and try new ideas
• Background in social work or therapy
• Experience in curriculum design
• Ability to provide design content, samples or a portfolio; reference checks are part of the process

Required skills

• Familiarity with video editing and design
• Experience with LMS and e-learning tools
